Talimali Band Land Development Company

Chief Arthur Bennett wishes to share some pictures with you of land work being done on tribal grounds in Libuse. We are currently working on a tribal village expansion project. Tribal members who are interested in obtaining land through the village expansion project should contact us to submit a request at talimaliband@outlook.com

Hurricane Ida Relief

September 2021

We are currently helping our friends and family in southeast Louisiana recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Ida. We have made three trips down south to deliver cases of water, gasoline, generators, tarps, and other supplies. We are planning another trip shortly. Please continue to keep Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers.

*** We are currently in need of old window units or generators, so that we can repair these and redistribute them to those in need. We will also accept non-perishable food and water. Disaster relief donations can be dropped off at the council house.

Talimali Band Museum Expansion and Remodel

Much of our museum already focuses on our beloved Chief Gilmer Bennett. We wish to remodel and expand our exhibits to include so much more, such as:

- The Torres Tall Clan

- More of the Bennett Clan (Amos, McNeely, Arthur)

- the Vallery Clan (Evelyn Shirley)

- The Eddie Vercher Clan

- The many people who have helped us and dedicated hard work to us over the decades such as Dr. Dayna Bowker Lee, Dr. Bonnie McEwan, Dr. Donald Hunter, Heather Jordan, Dr. Mary Soha, Lynn Mangam, Sister Kateri Mitchell, Cindy Cheramie, Father Chad Partain, and so many more

- Antonio Cuipa and the Florida Martyrs

If you have additional ideas for the museum, please submit them to us at talimaliband@outlook.com
